Website checker

Type in a site's address - in a few seconds I'll check over 30 things that affect Google rankings, security and customers' first impression, and suggest what to fix.

I only check what the site shows publicly to every visitor. Nothing is stored - the result is kept for 10 minutes so the site isn't asked again.

How it works

What the checker looks at

I fetch the home page at the address you give, the way a search engine does, and check over 30 things in four groups: visibility in Google (title, description, headings, sitemap, robots.txt), how a shared link looks, security (HTTPS and security headers) and technology (server response time, page weight, compression, mobile setup).

How to read the result

Green items are fine, orange ones are worth improving, red ones are problems that really hurt the site. Grey ones are good practices that don't affect the score. For each problem I suggest a fix - most take minutes for whoever looks after the site.

It's a quick check, not a full audit: I don't rate the content, the design or the other pages. If you like, I'll go through the site in detail and tell you what will make the biggest difference.

Frequently asked questions

Does the checker change anything on my site?

No. I visit the site like an ordinary visitor and only read what's publicly available.

Why is the result different from PageSpeed Insights?

PageSpeed measures how fast the page loads in a browser with its images and scripts. I check the server's response time and the basics of SEO and security - the two complement each other.

Can I check a competitor's site?

Yes - the checker only reads public information every visitor can see.
