Favicon generator
Make your site's icon from your initials or logo and download the full set - from the tiny icon in a browser tab to the one on a phone's home screen.
Everything happens in your browser - nothing you type here is sent to any server.
How it works
What's in the package
favicon.ico (16, 32 and 48 px) for browser tabs, icon-192.png and icon-512.png for Android and apps, a “maskable” icon with a safe margin, apple-touch-icon.png for iPhone and iPad, and site.webmanifest. Upload the files to your site's root folder and paste the HTML into the <head>.
How to make a readable icon
A tab favicon is just 16 pixels, so the details of a logo disappear. One or two letters, or just the symbol from your logo, in strong contrast with the background work best. Check the browser tab preview - that's how your customers will see it.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I upload the favicon files?
To your site's root folder (where the home page is), so that favicon.ico is available at yoursite.com/favicon.ico. In WordPress you can also set the icon in Appearance → Customize → Site Identity.
Why don't I see the new icon?
Browsers keep favicons cached for a long time. Open the site in a private window or clear the cache.
Will Google show my icon in search results?
Yes, if the icon is square and at least 48 × 48 px - the package meets that. It may take a few days to show up.
